Keep Scottsbluff Gering Beautiful (KSGB) is hosting a collection of expired and/or unused pharmaceuticals and over the counter medications and vitamins. Pills need to be left in original containers with the label attached. Feel free to remove or cover up your name, but leave the pill information on the bottle.
We also accept sharps. Help protect the safety of our volunteers by placing sharps in approved sharps containers or in clearly marked heavy plastic containers, such as laundry detergent bottles. DO NOT place sharps in pill bottles or have them randomly thrown in boxes with other items.
Please be courteous of our volunteers and respectful of this event and safely collect and drop off your unwanted sharps and pharmaceuticals. Remember, this collection event is ONLY for prescriptions, over the counter medications, vitamins and sharps. We will NOT accept hairbrushes, lotions, hair gels, etc.
KSGB receives grant funds from the Waste Reduction and Recycling Incentive Grant Program through the Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy. The event is also sponsored by: North Platte NRD, City of Gering, City of Scottsbluff, & the Scottsbluff and Gering Police Departments.
